Delta-8-THC (Δ8-THC)
An isomer of delta-9-THC with the double bond on the 8th carbon rather than the 9th. Produces milder psychoactive effects than Δ9-THC.
In Depth
Delta-8-THC occurs naturally in cannabis at very low concentrations (<1%). Most commercial delta-8 products are synthesized from CBD via acid-catalyzed isomerization — a process that can produce harmful byproducts if not properly controlled. Delta-8 binds CB1 receptors with lower affinity than Δ9-THC, producing less intense psychoactive effects and reportedly less anxiety. Its legal status is ambiguous under the 2018 Farm Bill; the DEA considers synthetically derived delta-8 a controlled substance. Research on delta-8 is limited.

A mildly psychoactive cannabinoid formed by the oxidative degradation of THC. Accumulates as cannabis ages or is exposed to heat and light.
Cannabichromene (CBC)
A non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid that does not bind significantly to CB1 or CB2 receptors but interacts with TRP channels.
